Event ticketing & video streaming

From on-sale spike to gate scan to live stream — one platform, built for event night.

/ The problem

Event platforms are traffic-spike machines: weeks of quiet, then thousands of buyers in the first hour of on-sale and everyone at the gate in the same twenty minutes. A platform sized for the average day falls over on the only day that matters.

Streaming adds a second hard problem — paid access control on live video, where every failure is happening live, in front of a paying audience, with no second take.

/ How we deliver

Our ticketing stack — proven in production on our own events platform — handles inventory holds under concurrency, M-Pesa and card checkout, QR ticket issuance, and offline-capable gate validation apps that keep scanning when venue connectivity dies.

For streaming we run pay-per-view and subscription access on top of adaptive HLS delivery, with tokenised playback URLs so paid links can’t simply be forwarded. Ticket buyers can be granted stream access automatically — one purchase, both experiences.

/ What we build with it

Concerts & festivals

Tiered tickets, on-sale spikes, and gate scanning that keeps moving when venue Wi-Fi dies.

Conferences & expos

Registration, badge validation, and session check-ins on one platform.

Pay-per-view events

Stream sales with tokenised playback, so a paid link can’t just be forwarded.

Hybrid events

One purchase covers the seat and the stream — ticket buyers get access automatically.

/ How delivery runs

  1. 1

    Event setup

Tiers, pricing, capacity, and branding configured — white-label or embedded in your site.

  2. 2

    On-sale

Checkout opens on M-Pesa and cards, with inventory holds that survive the first-hour spike.

  3. 3

    Event night

Gate apps scan offline if they must; streams run on tokenised links; the dashboard shows it all live.

  4. 4

    Settle & report

Sales, entries, and stream numbers reconciled and reported within days, not weeks.

/ Common questions

Can we white-label the platform?

Yes — our ticketing stack is available as a white-label deployment under your brand and domain, or we integrate ticketing into your existing site.

What happens if the internet fails at the gate?

Validation apps hold a signed local copy of the ticket manifest, keep scanning offline, and reconcile when connectivity returns — double-entry attempts are caught either way.

How many concurrent viewers can a stream take?

Delivery rides on CDN-backed HLS, so capacity scales with the CDN rather than a single server — tens of thousands of concurrent viewers is routine.
